Lynton Eckhart

Lynton Eckhart is a former music director for the Los Angeles County Public Schools. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in theory and composition from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.

After two years of military service, he studied composition and orchestration at the University of Southern California with Ingolf Dahl and earned a Master of Arts degree at California State University, Los Angeles.

His flute studies were with John Hicks (principal flute, San Antonio Symphony and pupil of Rampal), and Louise Di Tullio (principal flute, LA Philharmonic).

Currently he lives with his wife, Teri, in Las Vegas, plays with the Las Vegas Flute Ensemble, and gives private lessons in piano, flute and accordion.
